A. THE DOCTRINE OF ELECTION
1. The Concept of Election
a) It involves the idea of God “choosing”
b) It is out of God’s Divine will that He chooses
2. Teaching of this Doctrine
a) The LORD God I have Chosen you (Isaiah 41:10)
b) The Lord Jesus I have Chosen you (John 15:16)
3. In the language of the Apostles
a) Elect (1 Peter 1:2)
b) Chose us in Him (Christ) (Ephesians 1:4)
(The words “elect” and “chosen” share the same root word in the Greek text)
B. THE BASIS OF THE DOCTRINE OF ELECTION
1. There is Profound Involvement
a) The involvement of God the Father
